Go to this week's resource tool: A LucidChart titled "Integrity in Hybrid Courses." Explore the LucidChart, including the links to outside resources (two articles, two websites). Write a short response to one of the questions in the LucidChart and post it on the discussion board by Wednesday. Post a response to two of your colleagues' posts by Friday. Be sure to check on your post and answer any questions in your colleagues' responses.

A note on responding. I recommend that you follow the ABC approach: Acknowledge the point and the author to which you are responding, Build on the point by connecting to the readings and your own experience, and Conclude (concisely) with a question or idea for further reflection.

  1. Hi Rosemary,

Pretty much ditto my comments to Lisa! Everything is there that I need to plan something for my summer associates on this topic - Thank You!

I liked how this concept map stretched my brain in new ways in terms of thinking about content and process to T/L. I was forced to read about a relatively familiar topic (a workshop on academic integrity) in new ways....  I am so used to narrative style planning - it's been a regular part of my professional life since the first lesson plan I wrote up for my Dip Ed course in Hobart Australia in 1980!!!

I guess if I stopped and pondered for a while, it was to reflect on the difference between "Structure' and "Discussion".  I'm not sure I get it yet, but the strategies you have listed for each are undeniably sound. It looks to me like the "Discussion" approach is like getting your students on side with you and maintaining an open awareness of academic integrity in all the work that is (re)produced in the course..?

I look forward to sourcing the readings you suggest - great!

I'm a visual person, so i love the concept map - but but I think my old habits die hard!  But actually I have used concept maps successfully as a note-taking tool - it's lots of fun - so I think one of my next steps will be to translate some of the sequences in the Course Design module in to LucidChart.

    Thanks for the inspiration!

    Kim
