Here are some areas we are working on (to a greater or lesser extent) at UCSC that might be of common interest:
- Sakai
- upcoming Matterhorn deployment
- Online instructor evaluations (via Sakai)
- OIPP
- Media streaming server
- Dealing with HD video projection in classrooms, especially dealing with HDMI/HDCP issues
- A better way to grade scantron-style multiple choice tests
- Accessibility efforts TBD (captioning video has been mentioned...)
Areas of interest to focus on - (from UCLA)
- IMS - Tools interoperability ( Math tools, video annotation tools, etc...)
- iTunes U and the Apple iTunes U Course Manager Pilots
- Mobile Learning
- Mobile Tools for collaboration
