The Learning Spaces workgroup conducted a survey to determine the number of campuses that currently have a virtual lab in place or are considering a virtual lab in the future.

  • Students will continue to use general purpose computer labs (unless you they are going away by themselves) and expect those labs to be supported (even though a high percentage of students have laptops).
  • While ETLG acknowledges value in the virtual lab path (cost savings, ease of maintenance, flexibility to address the rapid deployment of new software titles within instructional environments, etc.), it remains to be seen if this can be expanded beyond an individual campus while still meeting the needs of the faculty and responding to individual (campus specific) support needs.
