IAM Component Subgroups

This page is intended to capture the deliverables from the following IAM Component subgroups:

SUBGROUPS and MEMBERS

1. Account Provisioning (Eric-UCSC, UCB-Jeff, UCSD-Matt)
2. Two Factor Authentication (Greg-LBNL, Russ-UCR, UCB-Dedra or Delegate)
3. Group Management (Chet-UCOP, Sury-UCSF, David-UCD)
4. Role Management (Albert-UCLA, Brian-UCM)

DELIVERABLES:

1. Document the common need for the functionality (summary paragraph)
2. List the common specifications/requirements for a product that would meet the stated need
3. Compose a list of questions that might need to be asked of a vendor to determine viability (possibly used in an RFP)
4. Perform a preliminary review of the options in the market place (not intended to be an exhaustive or detailed product search/analysis)

NEXT STEPS:

1. Individual workgroup members need to sync up and establish:
   1. a point person
   2. establish a division of labor
   3. agree on how the group will collaborate (email, wiki, conf. calls).
2. Establish a recurring conf call (recommendation is once every 2 weeks)
3. Document all finding on Subgroup pages
4. Provide an update at the next UCTrust call
