DACSS

Distributed Access Control Security System (DACSS) is UCLA's mainframe access management system. It manages access to all major administrative systems, including Financial, Purchasing, Payroll, Students, etc. Access is managed through a coordinated, but delegated security management model. Campus departments designate Departmental Security administrators (DSA), who upon certification, are responsible for managing department user access to applications through DACSS.

Because UCLA provides administrative systems hosting service for UCOP and UC Merced. DSA's from UCOP and UC Merced also use DACSS to manage their users' access to these applications.
