- Level of Identity Assurance is important to consider when evaluating risks related to data integrity and possibility for breach
- UC campuses are currently all out of compliance with basic Identity Assurance requirements for UC Trust (except for Hastings)
- UC campuses do not have the resources to come into compliance in the near future
- In the absence of resources to prioritize and complete this work, Service Providers that care about level of assurance will need to understand and assume the risks inherent in the current environment, if and until campuses resource and prioritize assurance compliance
- The question around assurance has come up repeatedly and through various channels regarding assurance compliance and UC Path
- Recommendation: UC Trust/ITAG and UC Path ITPS leadership give joint presentation to ITLC regarding current state and risk, particularly around UC Path. Go. UC Trust continues line up and promote campuses undergoing an audit process.
