Spring 2009 IAMULCA Mini-Conference is Almost Here

We are ramping up to bring you the next

iamucla

Mini-Conference. Event details will follow, so we ask you to save the date: April 16, 2009, from 1 pm to 4 pm. One focus of the conference will be the transition to the new general UCLA logon page as well as the technical authentication component behind it. Other conference topics are still being decided on, so we strongly welcome your input. Please contact us with issues that you would like to hear about. A new feature of our event will be small breakout groups after the main presentations where participants can discuss in detail the specific topics that they would like to know more about. Help us Improve the Shibboleth SP 2.1 Configuration Guide

The beta Shibboleth SP 2.1 Configuration Guide is now available for both Apache/Linux and Windows/IIS. We are asking that ISIS administrators who are planning to migrate to Shibboleth help us review to documents and offer any suggestions / improvements. IAMUCLA Monthly Patch Window is Tuesday, March 17, 2009

This week is the 3rd week of March. IAMUCLA applies critical OS level patches to its core servers (ISIS, Shibboleth, Enterprise Directory, ED Web Service) on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6PM.

On March 17 from 6 to 7 PM, we will be applying OS level patches to our back-end data servers. These include the ISIS database servers as well as the Enterprise Directory servers.

During this period, services on ISIS, Shibboleth, and the Enterprise Directory Web Service may be briefly interrupted while the services switch over to the back up servers. Please make note.
