uclaUniversityID
Definition
The Enterprise Directory defines uclaUniversityID as the 9-digit numeric University Identifier uniquely assigned to all UCLA students and employees in the UCLA University ID System (UID).
Data Flow
The Enterprise Directory retrieves UCLA_ID from ID0UIT in UID system via the Campus Data Warehouse (CDW) in near real time manner. The lag between a change occurring in the UID system to the update being applied in the Enterprise Directory is approximately 15 minutes. If a new UCLA_ID is created in IDOUIT, a new entry is created in ED for the identity with the following attributes being populated:
- uclaUniversityID: UCLA_ID
- uclaPPID: auto-generated value
- uclaIdentityTrustLevel: SystemGenerated
If an existing UCLA_ID is deleted from IDOUIT, the value is deleted from uclaUniversityID while a mapping of uclaUniversityID and uclaPPID is archived in ou=archive.
