ucNetID

Definition

The ucNetID is an integer assigned by the University of California Office of President (UCOP) that uniquely identifies a single member across campuses and organizations of the University of California (UC) system. It is a UCTrust standard attribute.

Data Flow

The ucNetID is a UC-wide standard ID space created and managed at the University Directory (UDir, a.k.a, University Demographics Database) hosted at UCOP. UCOP owns this data element. UCNetID is created based on the daily PPSIVR Update File submitted by UC campuses. UCNetID from UCLA employees are sent back to UCLA in file UDIREMP via FTP on daily basis. UCNetID for ASUCLA employees are included in ASUCLA employee file FTP'd daily. The lagtime between the source system to ED is up to 48 hours.
