UCLA Logon ID Overview

Formerly known as the Bruin Online ID (BOL), the UCLA Logon ID is UCLA's campuswide online identifier. It acts as an electronic identification card. Students, faculty, staff and parents can use it to sign in to most UCLA services, including over 200 web applications, the campus wireless network, BOL email and VPN services, and many computer lab workstations. Proper authorization is required to access restricted services.

Think of it as one key that unlocks many doors. When you use it to sign in to a University system that's authorized to see your personal information, your UCLA Logon ID identifies who you are to that system and grants you access.
