UCCampusEmployeeID

This page is being updated and refined - the information on it is not yet considered to be "official". Thanks for your understanding!

UC Campus Employee ID contains the nine-digit employee ID (including leading zeros), as defined by the University's Payroll/Personnel System (PPS) and issued by the identity provider campus, qualified by the campus's top domain name provided to InCommon.

Note: The employee ID at UCLA is generated by the UID System.

Permissible Values

From UCLA, this is the person's nine-digit UID followed by "@ucla.edu". For example:

012345678@ucla.edu

Remark

UCCampusEmployeeID is mapped to the uclaUniversityID in the Enterprise Directory. The "@ucla.edu" is appended at runtime during a Shibboleth attribute query.

Even though UCLA operates payroll for multiple campuses, at this time, UCLA's identity provider appends all responses in this attribute with the "@ucla.edu" domain.

todo: need to fact-check the above statement.

Release Policy

UCLA does not by default release this attribute to service providers. Each service provider is required to submit a request for data access and is subject to data privacy review from campus data stewards.
